Purpose
In 2000, the R.O.M.E.O. was founded to give the Men Of Sunflower an opportunity to have lunch once a month instead of staying home with a cold bologna sandwich while their wives or significant others were out at the Ladies Luncheon.
Membership Requirements/Dues
To be part of the R.O.M.E.O. group, there is no age, height or weight requirements and best of all, there are no dues. Originally we tried to establish dues of fifty cents to keep the riff-raff out, but the riff-raff voted it down. By virtue of living in Sunflower all male residents are eligible to be part of the group, in fact, we encourage them to bring any male visitors along to our lunch and/or breakfast gatherings.
Meeting Times/Location
The R.O.M.E.O. lunches makes an 11:45 AM reservation alternating monthly between the second Tuesday and the second Wednesday each month. We carpool from the Village Center at the appropriate time as stated in The Sun Catcher. So we can give the restaurant a count for set up, we ask that those attending sign up at the Village Center by noon of the day before the lunch.
The R.O.M.E.O.-2 Breakfast makes a 9 AM reservation for the fourth Tuesday each month. Carpool and sign up is the same as the lunch process.
