1.         PRAC: The Preservation of Reserve Assets Committee (PRAC) is a standing committee tasked with assisting the Sunflower Board and Community Manager with updating, repair and replacement of our community's infrastructure (which we also call assets). This infrastructure can best be described as "if it's not your property, it probably belongs to our HOA". We have over 150 assets that belong to our HOA and each one needs to be monitored for repair/replacement when needed. We focus on assets valued at over $1500.00 and as a general rule do not get involved in routine maintenance issues. The condition and appearance of our infrastructure has a significant impact on our use, enjoyment and community pride. We are in need of new members with a willingness to be involved in this process and work towards achieving these goals. If interested, please contact Andy Skroch (PRAC Chair) at andysk5813@gmail.com.

2.         AMENITIES:  As many of you already know during the April Board meeting, the Board of Directors have opened up the amenities to allow more scheduled groups to utilize the Village Center. The Pool and Fitness Center will have additional time slots as well as increasing the number of people per slots, starting Monday, May 10th.

Pool and Fitness Center - Due to the increase in quantity for each session and the additional time slots, we have created morning and afternoon signups for both the Pool and the Fitness Center. No members were removed from any recent sign up for the Pool or Fitness Center. Those members were moved to its correct sign up slot.

The Fitness Room has been increased to accommodate 14 reservations per time slot and the Pool has been increased to accommodate 30 reservations per time slot. Both Fitness and Pool reservation will have a new time from 5am – 6am and extending the latest afternoon time slot from 5:30pm – 9:00pm.

Billiard's Room – Residents will no longer have to utilize the signup reservations. Below is the schedule for Leagues and General Play effective Monday, May 10th.

  • Women's League – Every Thursday from 1pm – 4pm
  • Men's League – Every Tuesday and Friday from 1pm – 4pm
  • General Play – Open to all residents – Monday, Saturday and Sunday from 9am – 4pm and Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9am to 12pm

Tech Room – No changes. Please continues to reserve your time slot online.

Please remember that masks and social distancing are still in effect and mandatory in the Village Center and ALL AMENITIES, as well as having a signed COVID waiver on file.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding the amenities, please do not hesitate to contact the front desk.

3.         LINE DANCE INFORMATION: Line Dancing is now scheduled on Friday at 10 am for beginners and 11am for advanced beginning May 7th.  The Sun Catcher has it listed as 1pm-3pm because article was submitted by April 12th, before the Fiesta Room changes were made.

4.         SUN CATCHER ARTICLE WRITERS: Reminder the deadline for the June Sun Catcher is May 12th. Please send your article of 250 words or less to LChase@AAMAZ.com.

5.         TECH CLUB: The Tech Club would like to invite you to the last meeting of the spring.  Liz Perry will have a collection of lessons for us including "How to get the most of Alexa and Siri", "Have you checked you Facebook security?", and other useful items.  More of a roundtable format on Zoom so bring your questions and tips of your own.  Look forward to seeing you the 12th at 10:00.
