1.         CIF: For those of you who were not able to attend the Board meeting on April 21st or watch the it online, the CIF vote passed.
2.         AMENITIES: During the April Board meeting, the Board of Directors has opened up the amenities to allow more scheduled groups to utilize the Center. The Fitness Center and Pool will have additional time slots and an increase in the number of people per slot. Social distancing will remain a requirement, along with masks being worn within the center and during any activities, as well as signed COVID waivers on file.
Management is in the process of reviewing the schedules, reservation procedures, preparing the staff for the changes, and ensuring all proper measures are implemented. More information on how to reserve the rooms for club and group activities, time slots for the Pool and Fitness Center, along with dates on when this will take place will be given in the next Communicator. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we are moving forward with the new procedural changes.
3.      COMMUNITY YARD SALE SATURDAY, 24th: Maps of participants in the yard sale are available outside the front door of the Village Center from Thursday through Saturday.

Big Brothers/Sisters will not be coming by after the sale.  Big Brothers/Sisters don't work on Saturdays. If you personally want to call them for a pick up after the sale during the week, their number to schedule a pick up is: 520-624-7039

Thank you.
4.         LANDSCAPE COMMITTEE: Spring is a good time to examine the pruning needs of your trees and shrubs. Pruning maintenance is necessary for the removal of diseased, dead, or injured branches. Controlling plant size is essential for space and possibly safety. Shrub rejuvenation helps improve the structure and quality of the plant.
5.         PICKLEBALL CLUB CHANGE OF HOURS: Due to the upcoming heat, the morning Pickleball Club hours will start at 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. beginning Saturday, May 1.  These hours will affect morning play Monday through Saturday.  Evening Pickleball Club hours will remain the same: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
6.      TECH LAB The computer lab's Wi-Fi was down for a few days while we transitioned to a new configuration.  Thank you for your patience during this time, and we apologize for any inconvenience that it caused.
7.      TECH CLUB: The Tech Club will have another opportunity for you to get assistance with your devices. We will be in the Craft Room Sunday, April 25th from 1:30 - 3:00pm.  We will do our best to assist or advise you. This is open to all residents. If you have questions, call Anita Howard (520) 404-1350.
8.      WINDOW SCREENS: It has been brought to our attention, and is of great concern, that many Sunflower homes had their window sunscreens turned around (reserved) by window cleaning companies who are putting the screening right up against the glass. This does not allow the sunscreen to properly function, which should allow the sun rays and heat to be reflected away from the glass.
The placement of the screen needs to be on the exterior allowing at least a 7/16 in. depth, which will allow for enough air flow to dissipate the heat as the screening was designed to do.
