4. COMMUNITY YARD SALE:  Saturday, October 24th Yard Sale.

The Quilter’s took over the November Craft Fair. Unfortunately, November 2020, is not a good year to have a gathering inviting people into our Community.  There will be no Craft Fair this year.  Plans are to set up for November 2021.  Cross your fingers that it will be safe by then.

All pets must be under owner's physical control by leash when in the common area. Picking up your dog’s waste isn’t just a common courtesy, it’s a City Ordinance, it’s a health imperative and it’s part of the governing documents. Rules and Regulations state that: Pet owners must pick up and dispose of pet litter immediately and properly dispose of it in a trash container.

7. EXECUTIVE SESSION: Notice of Meeting for Covenants findings. Monday October 26, 2020 at 12:00 p.m.

You will also need a signed COVID waiver on file and your fitness club membership card. No punch cards will be needed. Beginning date is Tuesday, October 20th.

11. FROM THE ELECTION COMMITTEE: There has been a lot of discussion about the election due to 1 candidate requesting that his name be withdrawn as a candidate.  By the time that request came in, the electronic ballot was finalized and  on its way to being sent out via e-mail and the printed ballot was being printed and ready to mail so that candidate’s name could not be withdrawn from the ballots. The Association did seek legal advice and was informed that we have met the obligations for the correct number of candidates running for the open positions.  The election will proceed and the original timeline followed.  The electronic and paper ballot voting will close on Sunday, Nov. 9th at 5:00 p.m.  The Election Committee encourages everyone to vote and “attend” the annual meeting via Zoom on Tuesday, Nov. 10th at 6:00 p.m. at which time the Election Committee will report the results.

12. GENEALOGY CLUB: Mentoring sessions will start for new and current members, November 2nd and every Monday from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. in the small conference room. Maximum 3 people. 14. LANDSCAPE COMMITTEE MEMBERS NEEDED: Please fill out an online form found HERE f
ill it out and drop it off at the front desk.

15. MANAGEMENT COMPANY:There will be a longer article in the November Suncatcher but everyone should know that we are changing management companies effective November 1st.  You will be receiving communication from our new company, Associated Asset Management (AAM), over the next several weeks.  AAM will take over the community management function on November 2nd.  Don’t worry if you have something pending with First Service Residential as they work very closely to help insure a smooth turnover.  Thank you in advance for your patience as we go through the transition period (Tom Howlin).

16. POOL COMMITTEE: Tuesday, November 3rd at 10:00 a.m. Via Zoom. Call the Village Center for connect information.

17. PROXIMITY CARD RULES: Rules and Regulations, Rev. E. states that Proximity cards are valid only for the persons to whom they are issued and cannot be loaned, transferred, or assigned. In order to use the pool, fitness, or any other areas, including entering the Village Center a proximity card must also be processed at the electronic entry point at each facility.

There have been several incidents in which residents are scanning their assigned proximity card and then allowing other residents into the pool. Please ensure that you are using your individually-assigned proximity card when you scan in to use the facilities. Residents must each scan-in individually (even if you are in the same home). Thank you for your cooperation.

Please do not enter the pool until your reservation time starts (no early birds) and please exit promptly when your reservation time is over. If you leave late, you are delaying the time for the next group of residents who have reservations. It is also incredibly important that our maintenance staff has adequate time to clean and disinfect all areas.

18. STRATEGIC TASK FORCE: Is looking for additional members. If interested please download this FORM, fill it out and drop it off at the front desk.

19. SUNFLOWER COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION ANNUAL MEETING ATTENDANCE:  The Board has opened the Fiesta Room to 20 homeowners to attend the Annual Meeting in person on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at 6:00 p.m.  The meeting will also be available on Zoom.  Attendance will be based on a ticket being issued to 20 homeowners on a first come/first served basis on Saturday, November 7, 2020 from 9:00 a.m.  to 11:00 a.m. at the Village Center Craft Room by presenting their proximity card with name and lot number on it.  The issued ticket will allow 1 person per ticket per lot # to be admitted to the Annual Meeting.  A COVID Waiver form must be completed and turned in to the front desk to activate the proximity card which must be scanned upon entry to the Village Center.

20. VETERANS CLUB BBQ: November 18th at  11:30 a.m. Take Out only.  To order tickets click HERE.  Use your PayPal account or credit card. Tickets available  at “Will Call” table at BBQ.  This link also accepts donations but requires a separate transaction.

21. VILLAGE CENTER MUSIC: The music at The Village Center has been restored. Earlier this week the internet went down, resulting in a loss of music and a message being played over the system.

22. YOGA CLUB: Yoga on the Patio will start at 7:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m.  starting Monday, October 26th. Covid-19 waiver required. Please bring all of your own equipment.  Call Leslie Parr with any questions at 297-4833.
