1. PARKING LOT CLOSURE:  Monday, August 17th Ė Sunday, August 23rd  due to asphalt work. The parking lot will be inaccessible and no access will be granted. Please plan accordingly as you will not be allowed to park in the lot when visiting the Village Center.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

2. CORONAVIRUS SCAMMERS: Are targeting older Americans. Please be alert and click this LINK to learn more!

3. COVID-19 WAIVERS TO USE THE CENTER: Have been emailed to residents. They can also be found online at Sunflowerliving.com under What's New --> Announcements and under Resident Information --> Forms.  The waiver online is fillable. You can print it, fill it out and drop it off in the box at the front of the Village Center or download it using Acrobat Reader and email to Janice.Brown@fsresidential.com
Lori.Chase@fsresidential.com or Nicolette.Kaplan@fsresidential.com.

4. CURB AND LEASH YOUR PET: Picking up your dogís waste isnít just a common courtesy, itís a City Ordinance, itís a health imperative and itís part of the governing documents. Rules and Regulations state that: Pet owners must pick up and dispose of pet litter immediately and properly dispose of it in a trash container. All pets must be under owner's physical control by leash when in the common area. Picking up after your dog helps reduce the likelihood of its fecal bacteria ending up in an increasingly contaminated water supply.

The landscapers and maintenance team are not responsible for picking up after your pet -- itís your responsibility. Please be a responsible pet owner.

5. ELECTION COMMITTEE: At the deadline of August 7, 2020 for homeowners to turn in a nominating application to become a candidate for the Sunflower Board of Directors, there were five (5) qualifying applications for the three open positions. The candidates are: Norm Farmer, Chuck Howard, Tom Howlin, Dave Lambkin, and Christine Schaefer. Their bios and pictures are now posted on the sunflowerliving.com web site and can be found HERE. There will be a special edition of the Sun Catcher with the pictures and bios printed and distributed outside the front door of the Village Center by September 23, 2020.

6. EMERGENCY CONTACT: If you do not have an emergency contact listed with FSR (First Service Residential) or your emergency contact has changed please call the Village Center at 520.572.9780 to provide us with their name and phone number. It is strongly recommended that your Emergency Contact not be someone who lives in the same home. Having an emergency contact on file is incredibly important. It could save you money, peace of mind or your life!

7. FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING:
Monday, August 24th at 10:00 a.m. Please note that the previous time of 10:30 a.m. as shown in the Sun Catcher and Communicator is incorrect. All finance meetings will now start at 10:00 a.m.

8. GENEALOGY SOCIETY: Invites all residents to their Zoom meeting, Tuesday, August 18th  at 2:00 p.m. "Searching in Your Ancestor's Backyards".

9. GUESTS: Please be advised that guests are not allowed to use the facilities at this time.

10. LANDSCAPE COMMITTEE MEETING: Friday, August 14 2020at 10:00 a.m. via Zoom.

11. PETS: Are not allowed on the Sport courts, Bocce courts, or on the Putting green. We are finding evidence of pet feces on the courts. Please do not allow your pet(s) on the courts and remember to pick up after them.

12. POOL RESERVATIONS: Please do not enter the pool until your reservation time starts (no early birds) and please exit promptly when your reservation time is over. If you leave late, you are delaying the time for the next group of residents who have reservations. It is also incredibly important that our maintenance staff has adequate time to clean and disinfect all areas.

13. POOL RULES: Please make sure that you are following all pool rules. We are receiving complaints that residents are not showering prior to entering the pool, residents are entering the pool in shoes that are not permissible and residents are entering the pool with sores and wounds.

If you are unfamiliar with pool rules or would like to revisit them, they  can be found HERE . Thank you for your cooperation.

14. PRAC NEWS: The Preservation of Reserve Assets Committee (PRAC) is a standing committee tasked with the updating, repair, and replacement of our community's infrastructure.  That infrastructure can best be described as ďif itís not your property, it probably belongs to our HOA."  PRAC serves our Board and works closely with our community manager.  We are in need of new members with a willingness to be involved in our mission and work towards achieving our goals.  Residents having background experience in engineering, construction, contract negotiations, computers and design are some of the skills needed.  We could especially use someone familiar with Windows Office Excel. If interested please contact Andy Skroch (PRAC Chair) at andysk5813@gmail.com.

15. PROXIMITY CARD RULES: Rules and Regulations, Rev, E states that Proximity cards are valid only for the persons to whom they are issued and cannot be loaned, transferred, or assigned. In order to use the pool or fitness areas, a proximity card must also be processed at the electronic entry point at each facility.

There have been several incidents in which residents are scanning their assigned proximity card and then allowing other residents into the pool. Please ensure that you are using your individually-assigned proximity card when you scan in to use the facilities. Residents must each scan in individually (even if you are in the same home). Thank you for your cooperation.

16. RESERVATIONS: A total of five (5) reservations will be allowed per week, per individual. The week starts on Monday and runs through Sunday.

Please do not add a second person to the comment section or change the quantity to two (2). Changing the quantity to two (2) will result in double bookings and will be counted toward your five (5) signups for the week.

We strongly encourage residents to delete bookings they no longer want rather than writing in comments, ďdelete this date." If that reservation is not deleted, it will still count toward your five (5) signups for the week. If you need help with deleting your reservations please call the Village Center at 520.572.9780 and we will be happy to talk you through it.

17. STRATEGIC TASK FORCE: Members needed. No experience required. Please fill out an online form at Sunflowerliving.com, under forms and email to Ann.Marie@fsresidential.com
